Bio
Olivia Jeczmyk was born in the Polish city of Krakow. She came to Sweden as a four-year-old in an orange Fiat.

The foundations for Olivia's interest in creating pictures were laid early as her father had a photo lab at home in the bathroom. It was Olivia's ambition to become a lawyer in international law, but when she inherited an old camera from her father she soon caught the creative-bug and put other plans aside.

Instead, she trained as a photographer and after completing her studies, ended up in Stockholm as an assistant to Alexander Crispin.

"During that period I started experimenting more and more with breathing life into inanimate objects. I saw small characters in almost everything and made up stories around everyday objects. Today, I work in a similar way with my focus on geometric compositions where simplicity interacts with the object and vice versa."

She finds inspiration not only in graphic design, art, music, film, literature, architecture but also in dance. Olivia has been training classical ballet since childhood.

"Dancing creates an energy that I try to channel when I'm gathering ideas for my work."
