Here to stay: Geely relies on the superpowers of Havas Germany in Germany

The agency Havas has been awarded the mandate for the long-term brand development of Geely Auto Germany, encompassing strategy and positioning, creative, media, digital, and dealer communications. Havas Germany has secured a significant new client in the automotive sector with Geely Auto Germany. Following a pitch, the automaker selected Havas as its agency partner for the German market. The collaboration will focus on the long-term development of the Geely brand in Germany.

Germany plays a central role in Geely's European market entry. Havas will support the company in strategically positioning the brand and building awareness, trust, and relevance in one of Europe's most demanding and competitive automotive markets.

“Geely is here to stay. Behind this brand, still new to many in Germany, stands one of the major international automotive players with corresponding technological expertise and experience. We are entering the market with products that set standards in terms of quality, technology, and value for money. Now, the focus is on establishing a clear profile for Geely in the German market and building trust with dealers and end customers. With Havas, we have found a partner who understands the brand and the market and consistently integrates strategy, creative work, and media,” says Roman Franke, Head of Marketing, Geely Auto Germany.

The mandate goes far beyond communicating individual models and is geared towards the long-term development of the Geely brand in the German market. Havas is responsible for brand strategy and positioning, as well as campaign development, the creative concept, and model communication. This also includes social media and digital communication, content production, website and newsletter management, dealer communication, and dealer recruitment. Media strategy, planning, buying and optimization, as well as event and PR support, reporting, and performance management are also part of the mandate. Services are managed within an integrated working model encompassing strategy, creative, social and digital, media, production, events, and PR.

“Building Geely in Germany is an extraordinary task. We are not simply supporting a model launch, but rather the entry of a strong international automotive brand into a key market for it. The fact that we can combine our expertise across strategic positioning, creative, media, and activation perfectly aligns with our understanding of modern brand management,” says Stephan Lachmann, CEO of Havas Germany.

Point by point to infinity - On the death of the exceptional artist Yayoi Kusama

World-renowned Japanese avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama died in Tokyo on August 14, 2026, at the age of 97, just weeks after the close of her record-breaking exhibition at the Museum Ludwig in Cologne.

The major retrospective in Cologne, which ran from March 14 to August 2, 2026, generated unprecedented hype and attracted more than 450,000 visitors, making it the most successful exhibition in the Museum Ludwig's history. Over 300 works spanning seven decades were on display.

Yayoi Kusama died peacefully in hospital from multiple organ failure. She was world-famous for her psychedelic polka dots and net-like structures, which stemmed from hallucinations and obsessive-compulsive disorder she experienced since childhood.

"It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Yayoi Kusama, who passed away at the age of 97. Kusama herself devoted to a life as an avant-garde artist, working primarily in the visual arts while also extending her practice to performance, novels, poetry, and other forms of expression. She continued to paint until the very end, remaining steadfast to her lifelong belief that love can save the world." we quote David Zwirner, gallery owner.

He explains: "It’s been one of the great privileges of my professional life to have been able to represent Yayoi Kusama’s extraordinary art for the last fifteen years. The last time Kusama visited New York, a city where she lived for many years, was in 2013. During that visit, she opened the first of many exhibitions in our galleries that had hour-long lines for the chance to experience her work. Her steadfast message of love and peace has now reached millions of admirers around the globe. At the time of her passing, Kusama was, without a doubt, the most famous living artist in the world.

Earlier this summer, I was reminded again of Kusama’s genius when I visited her career retrospective at the Museum Ludwig in my hometown of Cologne; the exhibition presented more than 300 works, from her childhood drawings to the present. Kusama's art influenced the histories of minimalism, pop art, and performance art; more recently her large-scale installations single-handedly pioneered what is now referred to as experiential art. Shortly after my visit to the Museum Ludwig, they announced that this exhibition had become the most successful in its history. Kusama must have been pleased to read this. I will miss her terribly."

gosee.news was fortunate enough to experience one of the artist's truly unique exhibitions in New York at Zwirner Museum during a private tour led by Veroniq Ansorge, Senior Director of Zwirner.

"Her message of love and peace has reached millions of admirers around the globe. At the time of her passing, Kusama was the most famous living artist in the world." Veronique Ansorge, Senior Director of Zwirner.

Yayoi Kusama, born in 1929 in Matsumoto, Japan, had her first solo exhibition there in 1952. By the mid-1960s, she had established herself in New York as one of the leading avant-garde artists through groundbreaking performances, happenings, events, and exhibitions. Her work gained widespread recognition in 1989 with solo exhibitions at the Center for International Contemporary Arts, New York, and the Museum of Modern Art, Oxford.

She represented Japan at the 45th Venice Biennale in 1993, receiving great acclaim. In 1998, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art, New York, jointly organized the exhibition "Love Forever: Yayoi Kusama, 1958–1968," which subsequently traveled to the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo.

Following its great success in Cologne, the international traveling exhibition will move to Amsterdam and will be on display at the Stedelijk Museum from September 12, 2026.

Our GoSee DNA - Good work deserves more than likes

Today, every creative is working on visibility. Instagram. LinkedIn. Newsletters. Reels. TikTok. Personal websites. And that's a good thing. But visibility alone doesn't generate new business. The real question is: Who actually sees your work?

At gosee.news, we believe there's a crucial difference between simply being visible – and being visible to the people who make creative decisions. Creative Directors, Art Buyers, Producers, Agencies and Brands aren't looking for just another social media post. They're looking for trusted recommendations, relevant portfolios and editorially curated creative talent.

That's exactly where gosee.news comes in. We don't simply publish content – we curate it. Every news feature, every interview and every project becomes part of a professional editorial environment that gives your work context, credibility and long-term visibility. The perfect support when it comes to generating inquiries, attracting new clients and creating new opportunities – not just collecting likes.

Unlike social media posts that often disappear within hours, editorial features continue to work for you long after publication. They are indexed by search engines, referenced by AI-powered search and recommendation systems, and remain discoverable long after the social media algorithm has moved on.

As AI is changing the way creative talent is discovered, professionally curated editorial content is becoming more valuable than ever. A well-crafted feature doesn't just reach today's audience – it continues to introduce your work to tomorrow's clients.

We showcase people, agencies, and productions that we find exciting and that we believe we can help with our reach and PR. This applies to smaller agencies, brands, creatives in the fields of photography, film and photo production, post-production, publishers... For us, it's not the size that matters, but the potential.” Cyrus C. Halabian, Founder & CEO.
