featured by David Maurer : On the racetrack with Hollywood star and Porsche ambassador Patrick Dempsey in the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport - photos by DAVID MAURER

With Hollywood star and Porsche ambassador Patrick Dempsey, transportation photographer DAVID MAURER took it to the racetrack in southern Spain in the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport – entirely out of the comfort zone and straight to the limit until the dark of night set in.

Patrick Galen Dempsey, born in 1966, is an American actor and race car driver. He became known above all through the role of Dr. Derek Shepherd in the ABC TV series Grey’s Anatomy. Motor racing means a lot to the actor who says that racing is his true passion, but he also enjoys working on the film set. Patrick is an avid race car driver in his spare time and competed in the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2008, among other races.

Patrick Dempsey : “Porsche has always held a special place in my life. Whether as a race car driver or co-owner of a racing team, the brand radiates a special passion for me and the feeling to strive for top performance, which I always felt connected to. I am very happy to be part of the lifestyle world of Porsche Design outside of motor sport and to represent Porsche Design Eyewear as a brand ambassador in 2021,” says Patrick Dempsey.

The responsible agency was Keko, and post-producer was Simon Schinken.
