The French-Austrian actress Roxane Duran made her debut on the big stage in 2009 with her role in Michael Haneke's award-winning film drama 'The White Ribbon – A German Children's Story'.
At the Salzburg Festival, she recently made her debut in the prestigious role of Buhlschaft in the traditional open-air play 'Jedermann' alongside Philipp Hochmair.

The role of Buhlschaft at the Salzburg Festival is considered the most coveted and prestigious in the German-speaking theater world, even though the character has only very brief appearances and little dialogue in Hugo von Hofmannsthal's traditional play 'Jedermann'.
The word Buhlschaft is an archaic German term that is now used almost exclusively in connection with the play 'Jedermann'. It translates roughly as lover or mistress, or, as people affectionately say these days, side chick.
