"Launching my own swimwear brand is a dream come true. Fashion has always been a part of me and I’ve always been fascinated the way clothing can make a woman feel strong, free and elegant.

I spent part of my childhood in Singapore before moving to Norway at the age of ten. After moving to Norway, we always missed the warmth and light of the south. Thats why my family spent every summer for seven years in a small charming town by the Adriatic Sea in Italy. I’ve always been obsessed of the beach, the ocean, and the laid-back, romantic atmosphere of seaside living.

After many years of working and pursuing my education at the same time, I entered a new and meaningful chapter in my life - building a family with my husband and becoming a mum to my three wonderful children. For years, my heart and fokus were fully with them, a time I am so grateful for! 🥰

When the moment felt right, I began to feel a long-time dream, a dream of creating something of my own. And it all truly started in Ibiza, a place that awakened my creative energy in a whole new way. Being there, meeting inspiring people, and feeling the island’s free-spirited atmosphere gave me the final push. I was ready.

For Norwegian women’s fashion label VENDELA – named after fashion icon and founder Vendela Kirsebom – Asa TALLGARD c/o KRISTINA KORB photographed the new campaign. Meanwhile aged 56, she is also known as an actress and TV personality, who has appeared on ‘Celebrity Task Force’ and ‘Norway’s Next Top Model’, to name a few.

“I have always been passionate about femininity, fashion and aesthetics. After traveling to all corners of the globe together with fashion designers, photographers, hairdressers and makeup artists, I developed my signature style. I had felt that it was time to create something of my own… From patterns to fabrics, or even cuts and type of fit, I put my heart and soul into every last detail. With the combination of modern Scandinavian design and comfort, I want you to feel beautiful. Whether at the beach, on the street or in a cabin. Vendela Kirsebom was born the daughter of a Norwegian mother and Turkish father. She was discovered as a model at a restaurant in Stockholm. After graduating, she went to Italy to model, and success soon followed – putting her on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
