Tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) may be considered non-malignant, but it can lead to chronic pain, inflammation and loss of joint function—sometimes causing permanent damage to joints and surrounding tissues. Each person’s experience with TGCT is different. Diagnosis and treatment can be complex but patients have a voice. Working with their doctors, they can find a path forward that fits their needs. To support this message, Illusion partnered with Klick Health to create a CGI visual that brings the condition to life. Depicting the tumor’s impact by representing patients themselves as being physically tangled within a joint. This metaphor highlights both the emotional and physical burden of TGCT in a way that’s powerful and relatable.

The tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) may be classified as benign, but it can still cause pain, inflammation, and restricted mobility. To make this burden visually tangible, the Thai CGI design studio ILLUSION, in collaboration with Klick Health, developed a striking imagery concept. Instead of relying on purely medical depictions, the visualization shows patients themselves, metaphorically trapped and entangled within a joint.
