There was no more time when Rui documented the trip of a delegation from Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zeul, then Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development. Arrived at Johannesburg Airport in South Africa on the morning of August 6, 2009, departing 34 hours later. The time in between is packed with appointments with non-governmental organizations, with various aid projects for disabled children and orphans, in a township, with trips to hotels, soccer fields, a visit to the German embassy and much more. There was no conceptual preparatory work, each photo stands on its own, a detached snapshot - and yet in the end a whole emerges: the fixed space-time frame of the tight program resulted in a book that was never planned as such. There was no chance to work freely and forced to let go of his own wishes and presets is why maybe a particularly free work was created. .
