We have exciting news from recom, a leading provider of post-production services : the company announces the opening of a new studio in Hamburg – and underscores its commitment, with this expansion, to cooperating even closer with clients and agency partners in Hamburg’s media industry.
The new studio, located in Hamburg’s Aztekenkontor, will offer high-end CGI and fine retouching services while, at the same time, strengthening recom’s presence in Germany and on a global scale. recom hamburg is managed by Antje Lindenberg and Alexander Pundt, who both bring several years of industry experience to the table.
“Opening our studio in Hamburg is an exciting step,” says Lars Wittmaak, Managing Partner at recom. “We have always had great respect for Hamburg’s creative scene and have already been thinking about opening a studio here for a long time. But in Antje and Alex, we have now found the right ones for this step, who not only have the necessary know-how but also extensive networks in this city.”

Multilayered, timeless, nuanced … the GoSeeAWARDS spread just goes to show once more how remarkably photographer and director Ralph Mecke masters his craft. And the congenial stylist and Fashion Editor at his side like so often : Yilmaz Aktepe. Yilmaz elevates fashion to an art form. It is never random and never banal. It transforms rooms into sceneries. And these are subsequently dissected by Ralph Mecke and masterfully captured with the camera.
On board for post production of the spread was RECOM, who absolutely see themselves, who could blame them, as a fine art partner of their clients. Thanks to years of experience in all areas – advertising, food, art, fashion, and moving images – there’s hardly a motif they aren’t skilled in post-producing so artistically that the quintessence of the image alone seems to magically attract the attention of viewers.

Now it’s time to cross our fingers : The personal work ‘U.F.O. – Unidentified Female Object’, created in creative cooperation between photographer/director Monica Menez and Thorsten Jasper Weese/RECOM, has made it into the finale of the GoSeeAWARDS ‘23.
Right this minute, the over 70-member jury is voting in the second and final round to see who will take home the victory. Winners will be announced – like every year – live at UPDATE, where you can meet a juror or two in person.
Of course, you’ll also meet Thorsten Jasper Weese at UPDATE, who is looking forward, together with his partners Lars Wittmaak, Jonas Braukmann and Tobias Kern, to you stopping by the XXL RECOM booth. So please save the date : Thursday, 25 May, 2023, at Telegraphenamt, Berlin Mitte.
