Gimme some color and make it pop! For the world premier of the brand-new sixth POLO generation, GoSee Member DAVID MAURER makes the air vibrate in colorful worlds of orange and blue for VW. The agency was DDB Voltage with Executive Creative Director Christof Deutscher, Art Directors Heitor Buchalla and Nina Martinelli, as well as art buying by Valerie Opitz. Trey Digital Studio took care of post production.
DDB founded the agency Voltage Worldwide, headquartered in Berlin, in 2019 for renowned major client Volkswagen. The agency consists meanwhile of fourteen offices worldwide with more than 460 employees. In 2020, around 50 models were manufactured all over the world under the Volkswagen brand. About – David Maurer. Born in the mid-seventies and after assisting various photographers in the field of people and transportation photography, he explored the world, working on cruise ships for eight months, traveling to the north polar region, to Antarctica and to South America. Upon returning, he continued to work as an assistant and started working on worldwide shoots, briefly interluded by a ten-month trip on his own to Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Asia. In 2008, David established his own business as a transportation, people, architecture, and landscape photographer. Since then, he has been commissioned by a continuously growing number of clients. UWE DÜTTMANN teamed up with DDB (CD Mahmoud Fathy and AD Marco Lemcke) to photograph the new GOLF VARIANT and create motifs which appeared across Germany and online. The photos were, of course, created in the Vibrant Power visual language to ensure consistent color worlds and remain true to the line. Front and center, as in earlier work, are people and their activities in order to convey a feeling of liveliness.
The Golf Variant is now more digital, more dynamic and more versatile. It comes equipped with even more space in the interior and plenty of room for the entire family or even large pieces of sports and recreational equipment. The hazard warning function is standard and supports the driver with useful information, including warnings about construction work or rescue vehicles. With the optional Easy Open function, all you have to do to open the luggage compartment lid is move your foot under the rear of the vehicle. Further information on the model is available via VW.
