martin gentschow was born in 1982 in the south of germany. after school and university, and honing his craft by assisting several photographers (a heartfelt thanks to all of them!), martin took the leap and founded his own studio in düsseldorf in 2012. since then, he has specialize ...mored in food photography, creating mouthwatering images for magazines, packaging, advertising, and cookbooks.

his goal is simple: when his photos make viewers’ stomachs rumble and their taste buds tingle, he knows the job is done well. In recent years, martin has found growing inspiration in capturing life beyond the studio. portraits of friends and strangers, and the art of “catching the moment” in spontaneous, real-world events, offer a refreshing contrast to the precision of tabletop photography.
