The series presented here was created as part of an ongoing visual research process exploring how controlled, designed environments can influence a car's presence. Rather than pursuing a commercial narrative, transportation photographer MICHAEL HANISCH's project investigates how photography, CGI, and high-end post-production can work together to form an integrated system.
At its heart is the Audi SQ5 - a sleek and photogenic car that is a welcome and photogenic presence on film sets worldwide, including those presented here, all of which were photographed in Germany.
Michael worked closely with the Hamburg-based post-production company PX2 to translate these scenes into controlled digital spaces, while vividgrey contributed their keen sense of tone and detail to the final look. The collaboration focused less on spectacle and more on developing a calm, coherent visual language around the car.
The result lies somewhere between a development study and applied aesthetic research – a place to test ideas, refine a hybrid workflow, and explore avenues for future automotive projects.

The new series by MICHAEL HANISCH features the RENAULT CAPTUR set against expansive coastal and hillside landscapes, captured in the warm, summery light of the British Isles. Drone shots open up the perspective and lend the series a cinematic feel.
Sun, clouds, and rain take turns, but the light remains consistently striking – at times golden, at others dramatic. The result is a visual narrative in which the car blends seamlessly into the landscape, making the atmosphere of each moment almost tangible. The white RENAULT CAPTUR adds a clean, modern accent to the natural color palette – a stylistic contrast that enhances the sense of calm and vastness in the scenery.
Post-production was handled by Nicola Cafantaris. The series also includes moody side shots that capture the ever-changing weather conditions.
Michael is represented in Germany by Anyday Artist Management.
