On behalf of the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin, Ragnar SCHMUCK c/o NERGER M&O photographed the KURLAND To-go Mug Edition Farvet (Danish for “colorful”) for KPM. Inspired by Danish beach houses and traditional Danish toys, the edition consists of a mug, lid, and sleeve, coming together like a building block set made of colorful pieces.
The KURLAND series, commissioned by Peter von Biron, Duke of Courland, was created around 1790 in Berlin, following the new aesthetic of the time. In a strict neoclassical form, it became an icon of the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin. Its design is a tribute to the ideals and forms of the ancient world.
