"How to Reinvent a Dance Tradition? Be Light as a Feather." – Roderick Aichinger photographs Lai Hung Chung for the NYTimes
Following Motocross World Champion Luc Ackermann, the latest subject to step in front of the Sichtplan cameras was NGK Brand Ambassador Andy Assmann—a chainsaw artist from the Hunsrück region. Using chainsaws and extreme precision, Andy transforms solid tree trunks into impressive sculptures.
The series’ core concept remains unchanged: the focus is not on the customer's high-performance spark plug, but rather on the artist, his passion, and the values that define him.
"Once again, our photo and video duo spent a full day on-site with Andy Assmann—covering everything from a morning walk in the woods to his final carving session in the evening. Amidst the roar of chainsaws and a shower of wood chips, we documented Andy at work through both film and photography.
As with the other Niterra Brand Stories, we handled the entire project in-house at Sichtplan—from intensive planning and...

Fast and fair – In 2026, numerous top-class inline hockey tournaments and cups were already taking place worldwide, ranging from youth leagues to professional and masters divisions. Among the year's highlights are undoubtedly the official World Championships, held in Asunción, Paraguay, and the European Club Cup.
The report shown here was photographed by Martin Bühler during the 2026 Inline Hockey Cup.
Inline hockey is characterized above all by its tremendous speed, technical tricks, and the absence of hard body checks. It is closely related to ice hockey but is played on inline skates and a special synthetic surface or asphalt. Each team has four skaters and a goalie on the ice (in ice hockey, there are five skaters).
In 1980, two ice hockey-enthusiastic brothers in the USA (Scott and Brennan Olson) invented the modern inline skate. They attached wheels to the bottom of an ice hockey...

In June 2026, the magazine ZEIT published a special issue on the theme of "Cuisine," for which Hamburg-based photographer Daniel Feistenauer visually showcased the world-famous Parisian cooking school Le Cordon Bleu.
The article focuses on the haute cuisine of the cooking school under the direction of Éric Briffard. As a culinary highlight, the school created a culinary homage to Franco-German friendship. For this, the editors selected 13 typically German ingredients. And, of course, the humble potato took first place. Sauerkraut and apples were also essential.
