With the LBX, the smallest Lexus so far is rolling onto the market and is designed to appeal primarily to a younger clientele. Its special position within the model program is already revealed in the three letters LBX, which stand for Lexus Breakthrough Crossover. Behind this new model is the ‘goal of questioning the conventional concept of a luxury automobile,” Chief Engineer Kunihiko Endoh describes the orientation of the compact LBX.

The global teaser motifs and video stills are thanks to SÉBASTIEN STAUB, who was commissioned by the agency The&Partnership.

The city SUV is a genuine eye-catcher on the road thanks to its specially designed ‘Diabolo’ grille. The designers succeeded in ‘taking the edge off’ the model’s rather typical massive front end while preserving the brand identity. The topic of the grille was masterfully embraced by Sébastien in the teaser campaign.

Around 25,000 cars are to be sold each year in Europe in the future to achieve close to 100,000 registrations. At the moment, Lexus sells approximately 70,000 vehicles per year.
