CATRICE is distributed by the German family company cosnova GmbH, which was founded in 2001 by Christina Oster-Daum and Javier González. The company has around 870 employees worldwide. Throughout its history, cosnova has never conducted or commissioned animal testing, and 90 % of products are produced in Europe.
The two brands essence and Catrice owned and operated by cosnova are officially listed with PETA Germany and PETA International for cosmetics without animal testing. The majority of products is vegan.
