#rethinkable : REWE kicks off communication on sustainability – with fresh motifs by Lars BORGES c/o EMEIS DEUBEL for Saatchi & Saatchi

Lars BORGES c/o EMEIS DEUBEL photographed the REWE sustainability campaign together with Saatchi & Saatchi. Potatoes that get carted around less? Protect the climate with vegan food? A cookie that’s just as tasty for the climate? REWE would like to encourage customers to change their perspectives. Because the fact that climate protection actually works is shown by REWE on umdenkbar.rewe.de – #rethinkable. The use of simple questions to direct attention to protecting the climate is consistent throughout the entire marketing mix – from four emotional TV spots, to OOH posters, social media or even at the POS.

“The slogan #rethinkable stands for much more than a hashtag or a campaign. #rethinkable makes the transformation to a climate-neutral, sustainable company visible – a transition already set in motion by REWE years ago and certainly one we will continue to vigorously pursue,” says Clemens Bauer, Director of Marketing and Media at REWE.
