‘Sip back and relax’ - the special limited edition in cooperation with the North Palatine winery Schwedhelm and fashion photographer PER APPELGREN
Similar to a good photograph, a good wine is the culmination of many years of experience to create a brilliant result. In its wine category ALTER SCHWEDE, the Schwedhelm winery is launching a special limited edition ‘Sip Back and Relax’ with a motif by Per APPELGREN. The bottle and packaging too are branded with the name of the fashion photographer.
The two brothers Georg and Stephan Schwedhelm have a mission: Reviving the wines from one of Germany’s oldest, most famous, and deeply traditional wine-growing regions. The Zellertal valley is not really a part of the Palatinate and doesn’t belong to Rhine-Hesse region either. The soil there is influenced by limestone. The area was once beneath the prehistoric ocean which is why fossils of clams and shark teeth can be found now and then. Well into the 1920s, the Zellertal valley was famous for its wines. Today, Georg and Stephan are working towards restoring the former glory and potential of the sites.
