Becoming a lifestyle brand. Legendary French beer brand 1664 from the Kronenbourg brewery, part of Carlsberg since 2008, has just gotten a fresh new look. While the iconic blue bottle remains the same, the packaging now features a more contemporary version of the brand, new styling, and a bold but elegant new bespoke typeface, printed on high-quality matte label paper.
The refreshed brand identity is still undeniably French but is designed to be modern and easily recognizable, reinforcing the perception as a premium brand.
“A collaboration directly between Carlsberg and me allows us to freely explore ideas to creatively highlight the new look and colors of the label design,” says photographer Mikkel Jul HVILSHOJ c/o ANDREA HEBERGER, who is responsible for the stills campaign.
“1664 Blanc is a leading super-premium brand in the portfolio of Carlsberg Group, demonstrating confident growth across our key regions. This refreshed visual identity is an important step toward achieving the brand vision and will boost 1664’s growth as it expands into new markets,” says Andrew Khan, VP Marketing Global Premium & Beyond Beer.
Carlsberg A/S, based in the Danish capital Copenhagen, is the third-largest brewery group in the world.
