A tribute to the American TV show 'King of Queens' in the MATRATZEN CONCORD campaign – starring Matz & Conny c/o BRÜDERCHEN & SCHWESTERCHEN
He: silly-funny. She: beautiful and rational. The combination seems familiar to you? Everyone knows odd couples. If you see "Matz and Conni", it might just remind you of a famous serial couple from the early 2000s. For courier Doug and his wife Carrie, the differences between the two provided enough material for nine seasons King of Queens. The new MATRATZEN CONCORD campaign is based on the characters of the series, but even if you don't know the original, you get what MATRATZEN CONCORD means. "First, I watched old episodes for preparation," Axel says. So far, employees had been casted. With Matz and Conni, the company now relies on models with acting experience.
Axel plays Matz, a bit silly and laid-back and has to be pointed in the right direction again and again by his Conni. "But he is very charming and funny", Axel laughs and tells us about the campaign, which keeps coming up with new clips and photos. Axel convinced them not lastly with his creative e-casting. "I just talked about it and made my own thing out of it," says Axel. The resulting clip was such a perfect fit that the customer was immediately convinced by the BRÜDERCHEN & SCHWESTERCHEN character.
