RUNTASTIC, ADIDAS, and PARLEY FOR THE OCEANS have joined forces once again : ADIDAS is donating money for every kilometer run to fight against plastic pollution in the oceans. Richard JOHNSON c/o EMEIS DEUBEL was commissioned by ADIDAS to realize the ‘Run for the Oceans’ campaign. The shoot took place in Cape Town. In front of the camera stood South African rugby player Siya Kolisi, who is politically active against violence towards women and has founded the Kolisi Foundation with his wife Rachel, in order to aid disadvantaged communities in South Africa.
“The start of this new global running movement for the oceans last year is only the beginning. Our greater goal is to inspire people all over the world to not only run on behalf of the oceans but also to change their shopping habits and avoid throw-away plastics as much as possible. Each step in the right direction counts – and if we take these steps together, we will reach our goal,” Chris Thaller, Head of Creative Projects at Runtastic, supports the cause.
