SCHALL & SCHNABEL c/o BOSCHTOBANRAP were in charge of the trailer this year once again for the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film, that will be running from 28 October through 3 November 2024 – showing more than 200 feature and short films.
“In our new trailer for the DOK Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film, we have incorporated the festival motif, an old weight, centrally into the short episodes, which are sometimes playful, sometimes surreal, sometimes socio-critical, and are intended to invite you to explore the thematic diversity of the festival. Apart from the main motif, which was developed and realized by designer and illustrator Stefan Ibrahim, we mainly worked with Midjourney to create a coordinated aesthetic for the individual scenes, which we then animated using After Effects. This year, it has also been a great pleasure to work with sound engineer Matthias Ermert from Vienna for the background music; his composition creates a cinematic atmosphere, and we can hardly wait to see the trailer in cinemas. We would like to thank the DOK team for their repeated trust in our work and wish all visitors an exciting and inspiring festival experience.” SCHALL & SCHNABEL.
