Kept our fingers crossed till the very end – the German men’s team was in the race for the European handball cup in 2024. Their declared goal : the men’s national team dreamed of taking home their first medal in eight years.
For the latest Men’s EHF Euro 2024 Championship, TANJA HÄRING filmed the opener and trailer package for the ZDF Sportstudio show popular on TV across Germany. In other words : Directing and DOP came from a skilled one-stop shop.
Back to the game – and the hard facts: Although the team led by German national team coach Alfred Gislason lost on Wednesday against the Croatian team, already eliminated from the competition, they went on to the semi-finals for a chance at winning a medal for the first time in a big tournament.

The 16th Men’s EHF Euro Championship took place from 10 to 28 January, 2024, in Germany, which hosted the championship for the first time. The title holder was Sweden.
The European Handball Federation is the umbrella organization for the sport in Europe with 52 national member associations and is one of five continental associations of the International Handball Federation. It was founded on 17 November, 1991, in Berlin, and is headquartered in Vienna.

About HÄRING
Tanja Häring grew up in a small town close by the Black Forest. Spellbound by the power of pictures from an early age, she explored painting, photography and also developed her passion to make films and create art driven pictures.
She enrolled first for cinematography at the collage of Art in Dortmund and further on at the renowned Filmakademie in Baden Wuerttemberg. Her work is honored with several awards, including the german camera award.
Her strength is the capability to create strong atmosphere with versatile character in lighting and she has a creative and open-minded approach to camerawork.
Tanja continues to work successfully across genres utilizing her unique and modern style. Her deep personal interest in photographing people and telling their stories remains a constant theme throughout. Therefore she travels the world several times.
