‘Color novella on classic forms’: Berlin-based interior designer Gisbert Pöppler created the Édition Quartolet for KPM, featuring four Löber bowls in fashionable colors, which the designer considers ‘quirky, exciting, and great fun’. The bowls are designed as duos: two color combinations with reversed color placements for each, limited to 25 pieces each. Ragnar Schmuck c/o NERGER M&O photographed the collection.
The bowls were originally designed by Wilhelm Löber in 1929. With the Édition Quartolet, Pöppler, a longtime fan of minimalist design, translated his color-driven spatial concepts onto porcelain. “The color scheme celebrates the shape of the design, with the strategically placed orange highlighting less visible elements such as the rims and bases on all four bowls.”
Gisbert Pöppler is an internationally acclaimed interior designer. With his Berlin team, he creates spaces and furniture that are regarded as avant-garde in terms of style, form, and color throughout Germany.
