Superior Freedom. Sustainable Power. The HYUNDAI SANTA FE has been a pioneer and icon for 20 years. Hyundai USA and Innocean commissioned Jeff LUDES for a second time. This time around, it was to shoot the car and updates for this model. Since the focus was on the off-road features, the team ventured to California’s rugged Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains. The longest and highest mountain range in US descends to the Great Basin on California’s eastern border with one of the steepest sloped ridges in the world – making it the perfect location to try out all kinds of things off-road.
They photographed over the course of a week, after which photographer and director Jeff Ludes produced two full days of video material, among others with HYUNDAI’s PALISADE – the largest SUV model of the current product range. It all took place under the latest safety and hygiene protocols. Production was taken care of by Paige Dorian from Los Angeles, with art direction by Pat Zimmerman and art buying by Barb Sanson, Director of Art & Print Production at INNOCEAN USA.
JEFF LUDES works all over the world for clients such as Acura, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, FIAT, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Porsche, Renault, Subaru, Toyota, and Volkswagen.

About JEFF LUDES
After a false start shooting skateboarding, Jeff sought professional help and enrolled at Art Center College of Design in California. He graduated in 2002, and joined Fox a few months later. Following advice to "shoot what you love," he was surprised to find a provocative challenge in automotive photography- to make a product beautiful, in an image that creates an emotional connection.
