To boost private sales (C2C) online, selling has been free of charge for private sellers on EBAY since 1 March, 2023. What this means for you : If you are a private seller and want to sell something, you pay neither a listing fee nor a sales commission when your item sells.

Besides saving costs for sellers, not charging a fee comes with another positive effect : It increases the number of used items sold on eBay. This benefits consumers who are turning more and more often to used products because of rising prices. They are more sensitive about pricing while, at the same time, making sure their purchase is also sustainable. Which is not only good for the environment, but for the wallet, too.
