Since December 29, REWE customers have been able to use the new REWE Bonus benefits program in the REWE app - and thus collect credit amounts directly in euros in the REWE app. This new euro mechanism is so far unique in the German food retail sector. For this purpose, REWE created a new brand within the REWE world together with the program name REWE Bonus - including the character "Bo", who appears in a clay look and with a colorful design. His home is the smartphone, or more precisely the REWE app.
As a result, Bo simply knows everything about REWE Bonus, good deals and more dough for everyone. Bo does not keep his knowledge to himself, but always shows customers the advantages of REWE Bonus and how they can collect euros in a friendly and humorous way.
Rewe is supporting the launch of its in-house bonus system, which is replacing Payback, with massive advertising investment, including a prime-time TV roadblock on almost all major private TV channels on the launch day. There will also be full national occupancy of classic and digital outdoor advertising (large-format, CLPs DOOH) in January and a national print mailing with a circulation of 27 million on January 4, 2025. Advertisements in high-circulation daily newspapers and high-reach online media are also part of the campaign. Celebrities such as footballers Thomas Müller and Jamal Musiala are also explaining the advantages of REWE Bonus on various social media channels.

Creative Hub (REWE Marketing and Saatchi & Saatchi) is responsible for the creation, and film production was done by Tempomedia with director Simon Willows.
