Sober, happy, and living in Brooklyn .... – Tom van Schelven photographed singer Lily Allen in front of a floral background for STYLIST magazine. The cover spread was post-produced by Hamburg-based Retouched Studios.
British pop singer, songwriter, master of ceremonies and actress Lily Allen, whose real name is Lily Rose Beatrice Cooper, made her successful breakthrough in summer 2006 with her debut single ‘Smile’. Not to mention her uber-song ‘Fuck You’, which she released on her album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’ in 2009. And which we still celebrate befittingly to this day.

She’s been sober from drugs and alcohol since July 2019, met and married Stranger Things’ actor David Harbour, moved her two daughters to New York, and broke the internet when they revealed the gorgeous Brooklyn townhouse that she and Harbour renovated in iconic interiors magazine Architectural Digest.
She’s recently been diagnosed with ADHD and has also sidestepped into a new facet of her career with excellent reviews for her role in ‘2:22 – A Ghost Story’ and her first TV series, the Sky comedy-drama ‘Dreamland’. Next up is an even bigger career challenge : starring in the West End play ‘The Pillowman’. In this issue, Lily Allen tells Stylist’s Helen Bownass how she’s flourishing in every way.”
At the moment, the pop star is evolving into an actress, and always at her side is husband and actor David Harbour. Together, they relax in their completely flowery townhouse in Brooklyn, which their children lovingly refer to as Clownhouse – because, naturally, their residence is by no means less eccentric than the edgy singer Lily herself.
