Film producer Anne-Dominique Toussaint (known from the movie ‘Place Vendome’ by director Nicole Garcia, starring Catherine Deneuve, but also from films such as ‘La Moustache’ by Emmanuel Carrère, ‘Caramel’ by Nadine Labaki, ‘Les Beaux gosses’ by Riad Sattouf or the 2013 film ‘Alceste à bicyclette’ by Philippe Le Guay) opened their Galerie Cinéma on Rue Saint-Claude, right next to the super hip Rue de Turenne, in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris. We have an exclusive GoSee film greeting from her for you.
Anne-Dominique told GoSee that the gallery should be a place that loosely revolves around the film cosmos. Thus Kate Barry mainly shows her unhurried and sensitive portraits of the heroes of French cinema culture. Isabelle Huppert, Laetitia Casta, Vanessa Paradis, Catherine Deneuve, Beatrice Dall, Sophie Marceau ..... The natures mortes on the other hand, are probably more ambiguous than we would like.
About - Kate Barry is the daughter of singer and icon Jane Birkin and composer John Barry, and herself something of a celebrity in the French media landscape. Born in 1967 in London, Kate began her photographic career at the age of 28. Her work appears regularly in magazines such as Elle, Citizen K and Vanity Fair.
