The ZEIT Magazine Newsletter from 4 May, 2020, was a special edition published to give creative artists a stage since, as we all know, most had to remain closed over the past two months. For this purpose, MAX VON TREU visited 39-year-old artist Oskar Rink in her studio in Leipzig. The daughter of German painter Arno Rink had originally planned on staying in Havana right now for two months as an artist in residency followed by stay in Lisbon. The photos realized by Max with stylish flair are the answer to the following questions: Who are you? What do you read? What do you eat? See even more work by the artist on oskarrink.com, and more by Max is available via maxvontreu.com.

About MAX VON TREU
It was at the tender age of six when he was given his first snapshot-camera that Max von Treu, born in Munich in 1979, started showing interest in photography. Things got a little more serious when he got his first proper camera at the age of 17. It was love at first sight and a never ending array of snap shots, taken during early travels around the world. After graduating in Munich, Max decided to move to London to study mixed media arts at the University of Westminster. His main focus was filmmaking at first and it was only after he finished his studies and while assisting various fashion photographers that he discovered his passion for fashion and portrait photography. His professional career as a fashion photographer began when he was 25. Max is currently based in Berlin and Munich shooting for clients around the world.
