The 50 Year Anniversary edition of PLAYBOY celebrated a cover by ESTHER HAASE – for which she has now been awarded Bronze at ADC Germany. We present you the cover and the complete spread on GoSee.
Esther on the production : “50 years of Playboy – a long time with many changes, and quite fitting too, that I wanted to design my cover in tune with the zeitgeist. The way we see gender is changing, and this raises the question: is our perception of ‘sexy’ doing the same? To explore this together with the feminine side in every man photographically appealed to me, also in my role as a woman. I wanted to break taboos, experiment, raise questions and certainly provoke a bit. Who else could I have done this with but Tim, my current muse? I was very happy to be able to do this in this context for Playboy. Now I’m excited to see what the future holds – perhaps this won’t be the last man on a Playboy cover.”
