Annie LEIBOVITZ c/o LGA MGMT photographed Nigerian writer and activist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie for VOGUE US. Chimamanda's internationally acclaimed and award-winning work is considered an outstanding example of young African literature and feminist postcolonialism.
At the age of 19, she moved to the USA to study communications and political science, graduating summa cum laude in 2001. From 2005 to 2006, Chimamanda Adichie was a Hodder Fellow at Princeton University, and in 2008, she earned her master's degree in African Studies from Yale University.
In 2019, she was included in the anthology New Daughters of Africa, in which Margaret Busby brought together the most important Black female authors of the past two centuries. Today, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, married with three children, lives in both Nigeria and the United States of America.
