For the client OTTER KNIVES, whose production process photographer Martin BÜHLER c/o HAUSER FOTOGRAFEN has already had the pleasure of accompanying with his camera, Martin now got the chance to join OTTER on a hunting trip.
The OTTER company was founded around 1840 in a small wooden cottage, a traditional grinder’s watermill, at Solingen’s Königsmühle. The name comes from the otters that once lived on the riverbanks of the streams and rivers in Germany’s Bergisches Land region of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The pocket knives and knives with fixed blades are manufactured in Solingen using traditional methods. The range is comprised of knives for leisure, the household, gardening, and hunting. Most are equipped with carbon blades, have excellent edge retention, are extremely durable – and are all Made in Germany.
