EVENTS RALPH LAUREN celebrates all forms of beauty - Colette de BAROS c/o ALYSSA PIZER MANAGEMENT photographs brand ambassador Janelle Monáe for her performance at the presentation of the Spring ‘21 collection

13.07.2021 • For RALPH LAUREN, Colette de BAROS c/o ALYSSA PIZER MANAGEMENT photographed singer, actress, entertainer and brand ambassador Janelle Monáe for the presentation of the Spring ‘21 collection at the Ralph Lauren Boutique in Beverly Hills.

We gladly quote VOGUE : “Whether it’s taking over Central Park for his 50th anniversary or staging a one-night-only Art Deco nightclub extravaganza, if there’s one thing Ralph Lauren knows, it’s how to put on a show – even when, as with his spring 2021 collection which debuted this evening, there’s no live audience.

To mark the occasion, Lauren enlisted the help of his regular collaborator Janelle Monáe for a black & white film performance in the magnificent setting of his Beverly Hills store, here transformed into a smoky speakeasy while Monáe does her best Frank Sinatra in a double-breasted tuxedo and sings a swoon-worthy rendition of “All or Nothing at All.” Over the past few years, Janelle Monáe has become one of Ralph Lauren’s most visible ambassadors, whether performing at the fall 2019 Art Deco nightclub spectacular, or wearing a breathtaking...

EVENTS Miles not traveled - works by Sigurd KRANENDONK c/o ROCKENFELLER & GÖBELS, on display at FOTOFESTIVAL NAARDEN 2021 and for you on GoSee.NEWS

06.07.2021 • Due to changing global conditions, Sigurd KRANENDONK c/o ROCKENFELLER & GÖBELS (photographer) and Frank Visser (artist) decided to join forces and create a visionary world together. Travel was nearly impossible in this highly scaled-down world, which is why virtual travel became the only option. Memories of distant journeys that each went on separately served as their inspiration.

In a spacious warehouse, different sets were built to represent imaginary destinations. With varying lighting arrangements, the sets turned into sweltering cities, villages and hamlets. Clouds drifting across the sky, rain showers puring down and desert heat could almost be felt in this project, and were created by means of color and abstraction. Destinations without arrival, miles not traveled, fantasy destinations. Looking for unknown places, for untold stories in houses never before seen.

The works by Kranendonk & Visser are on display during FotoFestival Naarden 2021 at Bastion Oranje Building G. GoSee & Enjoy : fotofestivalnaarden.nl///Kranendonk

EVENTS BBC’s GREAT BRITISH PHOTOGRAPHY CHALLENGE with RANKIN on the jury names two winners for the first time : Jackson Moyles (Landscape) & Tyrone Williams (Street Art) with artwork on GoSee NEWS

29.06.2021 • In an unexpected twist in the final episode of BBC’s Great British Photography Challenge, not one, but two winners have been named. Jackson Moyles, 21, from Dunfermline, and Tyrone Williams, 28, from Northampton, were crowned joint winners and are the first photographers to claim the title in this new series. Over the past four weeks, photographer and director RANKIN, who is internationally acclaimed for his famous iconic portraits, had to make this decision together with Ellen Stone, founder of Public Offerings Ltd.

RANKIN on the Jury’s decision : “Picking a winner for the show was really hard. It prompted some heated debate between me and the other judges. Tyrone and Jackson are completely different photographers, with two very different styles and career paths. Tyrone is an art photographer, with a really clear voice. His work grabbed my attention from the very beginning. Jackson’s work, on the other hand, grew as he found himself over the competition. So in that way, they were both stand-out photographers who showed their talent during the competition. There was no way we...

EVENTS Festival La Gacilly-Baden Photo 2021 – VIVA LATINA! For the 4th time, EDITION LAMMERHUBER is bringing the biggest outdoor photo festival in Europe to Baden bei Vienna with 1500 large-format photos from 18 June through 17 October, 2021

18.06.2021 • VIVA LATINA! is the theme of Festival La Gacilly-Baden Photo in 2021. It is presenting photographs from Latin America which are imbued by the complexity of the continent’s history with all its revolutions and hopes, with its jambalaya of traditions, in which dreams of the West mingle with shamanistic beliefs, and in which the fervor of its society is shaped by violence and a relentless joie de vivre.

Whether they come from Brazil, Ecuador, Chile, Mexico or Argentina, all photographers of the festival are firmly rooted in everyday life. They capture the diversity of the people on the continent, explore the urban chaos, and lament the damage done to nature – and they do this all with a certain poetic, creative and humorous edge. But above all, they stand for photographic art full of energy and inventiveness.

The festival is also celebrating the biodiversity of our planet. The World Conservation Congress of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) was planned to be held in Marseille in mid-June 2020, followed by the COP15 of the UN Convention on Biodiversity in...
