'Dolly Birds of Paradise' Sophia Webster S/S 2017 shoe campaign, staged by Monica Menez
Photographer and Director Monica Menez was the perfect choice to realize the S/S 17 "Dolly Birds of Paradise" campaign for SOPHIA WEBSTER in London. The extremely modern designs were realized by Monica with young imagery. The campaign is already listed under "The Best Ads Of Spring 17" for shoe designers on HARPERSBAZAAR.COM. Art direction was taken care of by Bradley Bell from Floss Productions, London, with set design by Matt Duddleston.
The designer on her collection : “This collection celebrates my love of music, in particular the original Dreamgirls : Diana Ross and The Supremes, The Shirelles, and Martha Reeves and The Vandellas – all musical icons of the 60s. My inspiration was 'Dreamgirls' meets Hitchcock’s 'The Birds’' set within a tropical paradise. This concept enabled me to experiment with the distinctive and feminine shapes of the 60s in bright, vivid colors and an array of different textures.”
