Director Daniel ROCHE and Tim HEYDUCK, Fashion Director & founder of Gruppe Magazine, both c/o SHOTVIEW, contributed to the reinterpretation of the BUFFALO TOWER SHOES. This reinterpretation of the classic was presented together with an installation and a launch party at Voo Store Berlin.
BUFFALO, founded in1979 as a cowboy boot retail company in Frankfurt, is a brand with a mind of its own. In the 1990s, it enjoyed cult status when the likes of the Spice Girls and Berlin ravers wore their bulky plateau shoes for hedonistic nights out in the city. Buffalo now looks back with this new collaboration on its pioneering avenues and commissioned GRUPPE Magazine to redesign the Tower shoes from BUFFALO SOURCE.
In the 90s, the Tower was something entirely innovative and combined elements of clubwear, business fashion and the underground industrial dance scene. The result is a Buffalo shoe consistently designed in the typical black colorway, the bulgy upper material is, however, replaced by a formal, pointed silhouette.
