The Mexican fashion label PPAAYYSS® is dedicated to the production of knitwear. The company focuses on casual clothing for men and women - beyond mainstream. It offers capsule collections with pieces such as sweaters, ponchos, pants and blankets. The company collaborates with national and international artists for all their collections.
Chiara BONETTI c/o JULIA WALDMANN photographed these K-Pop-inspired motifs for PPAAYYSS and its own store in Mexico City. Studio, models, everything K-Pop. Because : Mexico City has one of the largest K-pop fan bases outside of Korea.
According to CEO Víctor Manuel Martínez López, the idea for the label goes back three generations to a family tradition: “We specialized in the production of cotton yarn and later in jacquard weaving. Now we are turning this tradition around and transforming it into something modern and contemporary. Our products are mainly made from natural materials and are also unisex.”
