Freenote Cloth – ‘creates quality menswear manufactured in the USA’. Gary COPELAND c/o ALYSSA PIZER MANAGEMENT photographed several of the signature pieces from the new collection.
Freenote achieved its early successes thanks to the use of the best fabrics and hardware from Japan and the USA. And thanks to their knowledge of clothing gained in over a decade of experience by co-founders and brothers Matt und Andrew Brodrick, the brand has been steadily increasing in popularity ever since it was founded in San Juan Capistrano, California back in 2013.
Freenote Cloth on the Tolgate jacket : “The Tolgate is our winter-ready, ranch-inspired jacket. Borrowing the tried-and-true fit of our Pleated Rancher, the Tolgate substitutes pleats for laser cut leather trim details on double hand warmer pockets and flap storage pockets. The fabric is made by Fairfield Textile in New Jersey.
This 100% cotton 10.10 oz canvas is finished with a layer of Martexin wax bringing the final weight to 12 oz and making the fabric water and wind resistant. Combined with a 100% cotton jacquard southwest print liner from Japan and hand-selected long shearling collars, this jacket is ready to take on the harshest winter conditions.
Finished with 1/8" double needle stitch detail, custom metal trims from Kentucky, and real horn fisheye buttons, this jacket is built to be handed down from generation to generation. Proudly cut and sewn in the USA, the Tolgate Waxed Canvas is available now.”
And about the pants : “Our newest denim, the 17-ounce Black White, has arrived. Our custom 17-ounce Indigo and 17-ounce Black Black denim have been fast favorites here at the Freenote Cloth headquarters, so when Yoshiwa Mills told us they had a black warp and white weft version, we couldn’t resist. This denim has it all, a slubby irregular texture paired with a heavier than average weight that’s more durable yet still easy to break in. Available now in the relaxed tapered Portola fit, and the straight leg Belford. Proudly cut and sewn in the USA.”

About ALYSSA PIZER MANAGEMENT
Alyssa Pizer Management is a boutique photography agency representing photographers specializing in fashion, lifestlyle, kids, sports, travel, still life and lifestyle photographers. I went to college at UCLA, where I majored in Communications and minored in Economics. I have always loved fashion. I worked at Contempo Casuals (remember them?), which led to winning “Best Dressed” in high school. I suppose that was more of a sign of things to come than that Econ minor.
After college, I sold piece goods downtown in the garment district for seven years. Then, I started looking for a change. A good friend of mine, Donna Scoggins, who was a model and actress at the time, introduced me to my first photographer, Scott Orazem. From there, I started to take on more photographers and – voila! – here I am today. I have developed my niche market of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle photographers. In addition to seeking out only the most talented photographers, I also try to only represent the nice ones. I currently live in Los Angeles with the love of my life, my daughter Sydney (and my husband, too).
