James Clapham is a UK-based freelance illustrator and GIF artist from Birkenhead, near Liverpool. After studying Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art and earning a Master’s degree from Camberwell College, he gravitated toward the editorial field – drawn by its wide range of subject matter and creative freedom. His work is known for its playful humor, energetic compositions, and bold use of color. James has illustrated for a diverse roster of international editorial clients, including Bloomberg Business Week, Financial Times, The Guardian, Hollywood Reporter, Jacobin, New York Times, The New Yorker, Snapchat, Sunday Times, Time Out, Vice, Washington Post, and Zeit Leo.
