GARANT TEA redesign & JADE FOREST ICED TEA with packaging & designs by DARLING CLEMENTINE c/o AGENT MOLLY & CO
Illustrator and designer Ingrid Reithaug and Tonje Holand, aka DARLING CLEMENTINE, began their career in their boutique studio in Oslo. Many years later, the creative duo produces its characteristic style of dreamy patterns, colorful designs and decorative packaging for clients in Tokyo, India, Norway, Korea and beyond.
Now their intricate motifs adorn the bottles of JADE FOREST ICED TEA. “We created an exclusive label for tonic specialist Jade Forest. Each label in the series of five taste varieties has a unique illustration that depicts the flavor.” Enriched with the power of antioxidants, the unmistakable Berry Blush Premium Iced Tea by Jade Forest is a wonderful blend of green tea, six different berries and fruits with a pinch of herbs.
Plus, she was in charge of redesigning the packaging for Swedish tea house GARANT. DARLING CLEMENTINE: “Garant wanted to redesign their classic tea assortment, and we were given one of our most exciting projects to date. We love working with packaging, and we really like to make something work as a coherent series. There’s a little story for each flavor, and we have truly enjoyed working on this project from beginning to end. Done in collaboration with Bas.”
The two tell us about their work in an interview: “We have similar tastes. When we started fifteen years ago, we realized we had the same dresses, kitchen utensils, and furniture. We liked the same things. For us, illustration is such a good way to express ourselves. Graphics can be strict and quite limited, but illustrations can be a bit more fun and over the top.”
