Something to Offend Everyone – the BROOKLYN FILM FESTIVAL 2022 with artwork by FOREAL c/o ANALOG / DIGITAL
FOREAL c/o ANALOG DIGITAL was commissioned by the agency MullenLowe New York to design a number of characters for the Brooklyn Film Festival 2022. Topic : ‘Something to Offend Everyone’ – because the Brooklyn Film Festival is quite proud of never censoring its filmmakers but instead letting them express themselves however they want.
And with more than 140 uncensored films in 2022, it was clear that there would be guaranteed ‘Something to Offend Everyone’ in the showcase. The campaign wants to encourage the audience to leave their comfort zone and show them how to discuss all the new ideas, thoughts and points of views they encounter at the festival as they see fit.
Founded in 1998 by Executive Director Marco Ursino, Susan Mackell (Director of Development), Abe Schrager and Mario Pegoraro (Director of Programming), its mission is to “discover independent filmmakers, showcase their work and promote new talent while at the same time putting Brooklyn on the global map as a cinematic hub.”
Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a competitive international festival. BFF’s mission is to provide a public forum in Brooklyn in order to advance public interest in films and the independent production of films. To draw worldwide attention to Brooklyn as a center for cinema. To encourage the rights of all Brooklyn residents to access and experience the power of independent filmmaking, and to promote artistic excellence and the creative freedom of artists without censorship.
Award-winning films from the Brooklyn Film Festival have gone on to be nominated and awarded at the British Academy Awards (BAFTAs), the American Academy Awards (Oscars), and the Canadian Screen Awards, for which BFF is a proud qualifying festival.
