Matthias Wehofsky c/o JULIA WALDMANN presents us her personal spread entitled ‘Kottbusser Tor’ here on GoSee. The square located in today’s scenester district Kreuzberg is named after a city gate in the former Berlin Customs Wall, or literally, the Berlin Customs and Excise wall, which had been in that exact same spot from 1737 to the 1860s, when it was finally torn down. It once led out of the city in the direction of Cottbus.
