Fashion photographer and director MAX VON TREU staged his MR ICON editorial at Munich’s Pinakothek der Moderne, opened in 2002, which combines four independent museums spanning four different disciplines : art, graphics, architecture and design.
Posing for his camera was male model Frederick Kruegger, who was styled by Clark Parkin. On set for grooming was Georgies Tsiogkas, and casting was the responsibility of Martin Freimoser. Post production for photo and film (editing, grading) was in the adept hands of GoSee PREMIUM Member BLINK IMAGING. Max von Treu is represented by Kathrin Hohberg.
Mr ICON is published biannually as a supplement in WELT and WELT AM SONNTAG. “With its exciting variety of topics paired with an innovative design, Mr ICON has positioned itself as a style-conscious companion of men, for whom lifestyle means more than fitness, hoodies and barbecue,” we hear from the confident magazine makers led by Inga Griese, founder & Chief Editor. About MAX VON TREU
It was at the tender age of six when he was given his first snapshot-camera that Max von Treu, born in Munich in 1979, started showing interest in photography. Things got a little more serious when he got his first proper camera at the age of 17. It was love at first sight and a never ending array of snap shots, taken during early travels around the world. After graduating in Munich, Max decided to move to London to study mixed media arts at the University of Westminster. His main focus was filmmaking at first and it was only after he finished his studies and while assisting various fashion photographers that he discovered his passion for fashion and portrait photography. His professional career as a fashion photographer began when he was 25. Max is currently based in Berlin and Munich shooting for clients around the world.
