Manuel FERRIGATO photographed the Lufthansa campaign #LifeChangingPlaces in Ethiopia. The photos were taken while filming for a production by Director Vincent Urban. #LifeChangingPlaces presents places which have changed the lives of the protagonists fundamentally.
On a road trip across Ethiopia, Manuel portrayed stewardess Maira while, at the same time, presenting portraiture of the country, its many faces and its culture. The journey takes him to richly contrasted destinations full of raw beauty, green plateaus, mystical places of pilgrimage, and the hottest desert on the planet. In the midst of a horde of grazing gelada baboons, a species endemic to the Ethiopian plateau, Maira Nolte is struck by the beauty of the Ethiopian mountains. “I had no idea to what incredible place this trip was going to take me. The natural scenery and amazing landscapes!”, she tells us excitedly about her journey to Ethiopia.
