Fashion photographer ESTHER HAASE realized a beautiful homage to painter Paula Modersohn-Becker for DIE STILISTEN. Serving as the location was her former studio in the artist colony Worpswede. Paula Modersohn-Becker was a German painter and one of the most significant representatives of early expressionism. In the almost fourteen years she was active as an artist, she created 750 paintings, about 1000 drawings and 13 etchings.
“For more than 100 years, the artist colony Worpswede has been a place in which the freedom of views has led to new perspectives. Even an outing to the currently picturesque overcast landscape helps to clear the mind. And for the strong looks of the new winter collection, it offers a scenery fit for a masterpiece,” is how the colony is described at DIE STILISTEN.
“We shot in the studio of Paula Modersohn-Becker with Laura Schuller. The idea to create an homage to incredible painter Paula came to us after we were invited to the birthday party of my beautiful and longest friend Sibilla Pavenstedt just next door to Paula’s original studio...” Esther tells us about the production. Styling was in the hands of Silja Lange, with hair & make-up by Agnesha Kollien.
