Evenings that dreams are made of … – CHRISTIAN KAUFMANN photographs the new season program for 2020/2021 for KONZERT THEATER BERN
“Yes, hits from all over the charts are played in the Paradise City* shopping mall, but that still doesn’t mean that all we’re interested in are the ratings like in Network! Momo** gives you the gift of time, which can even be filled with a bit of advanced idiocy – The End of Schilda***. And with everything else the new season brings!” we quote KONZERT THEATER BERN.
The four areas of the concert theater in Bern – orchestra, music theater, drama and dance – were tasked with staging themselves clothed in white in front of a white background. However they wanted. At times loud, at others quiet, but always giving it their all, with plenty of verve and grand gestures … where they were then photographed by CHRISTIAN KAUFMANN.
To make it all happen, several employees of the theater were there from start to finish, busy dressing, powdering, ordering catering, translating, on the phone … and screwing fuses back in again in between.
Christian Kaufmann: “After a week of production, lots of laughs and loads of beautiful photos (and a hard time selecting the images), only one photo per area made it into the program. At any rate, we have a total of four different titles in the end, and the various posters will also be on display throughout Bern.”
Just in the nick of time (Corona), production was wrapped up so that the season program of Konzert Theater Bern could go to press on time. Since 2012, the Bern City Theater has been part of the new institution, Konzert Theater Bern, which also includes the Bern Symphony Orchestra in addition to the City Theater. It is a unique organizational model in Switzerland in this form with four areas in one house. GoSee: konzerttheaterbern.ch
