Manuel FERRIGATO photographed the new worldwide image campaign ‘EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE’ for GORE TEX . He needed to visualise all of the application fields of the membrane manufacturer: from city casual images to various outdoor activities to extreme sport with testimonials such as Austrian sport climber and alpinist David Lama or Italian ski mountain climber Tamara Lunger.
The ‘split principle’ reveals the special characteristics of the GORE-TEX® technology in any weather condition. Good weather on one side and the worst weather on the other emphasise the fabric’s main functionalities: ‘breathable’ and ‘water resistant’. An exciting task for Manu and his team. The protagonists’ facial expressions make them authentic images and tell an interesting and likeable story, which continues in the viewer’s own imagination.
David on the collaboration: ‘I have been Gore clothing since I was little, so I had a personal connection with the brand before working with them. Gore products are versatile and make up the only hard shell layer in my clothing I would consider wearing.’ And Tamara Lunger adds ‘it has become like a second skin for me, which I feel really comfortable in and which I can rely on 120%.
The brand will use these photographs in target audience specific print and online media. Posters and target POS activities will complete the broad approach for the campaign.
