Manuel Ferrigato : takes pictures up high in the Alpines with exceptional alpinist David Lama for the film launch of ‘Cerro Tore’ (Red Bull Media House) and free-ride pros for travel agency EPRO
No one had ever managed to free-climb this granite needle in the picturesque landscape of Patagonia - it was considered completely impossible. The documentary ‘CERRO TORRE – A Snowball’s Chance in Hell’ produced by Red Bull Media House documents the athletic and personal process of exceptional alpinist David Lama, who succeeded in reaching the top of this infamous mountain in 2012. Manuel took pictures of exceptional alpinist David Lama for the launch of the film up high in the Alpines. ‘For David this glacier climb was a walk in the park, but for me it was a real struggle!’.
It was also a special challenge for Manuel to have very little space to move around in and heavily reduced equipment for the shoot: narrow cleavers and deep abyss as far as the eye could see. See the breathtaking pictures here on GoSee and watch the trailer here.
Manuel also produced a series on ski tours and free-riding for travel agency EPRO in the Spanish Pyrenees. The photographer alternated between skies and the helicopter to capture free-ride pros and mountain guides.
