A great adventure! With the alpinist stars David Lama, Hansjörg Auer and Peter Ortner, MANUEL FERRIGATO went to Pakistan's Karakorum mountain range for RED BULL. The destination of the expedition was the never before climbed north wall of the 7821 meter high Masherbrum peak – a totally new kind of challenge for the photographer. We have the photos on GoSee.
It took over two weeks to even reach the location: cross country on the Karakorum Highway, with Jeeps past the last inhabited town followed by a week-long foot trek on the Baltoro glacier until finally reaching the base camp at 5,000 meter altitude. After only three weeks the tents had to unfortunately be taken down: adverse conditions made any attempt of climbing the wall impossible. What do remain though are incredible impressions of the people, the country, and the highest mountains of the world for you on GoSee.
