Sebastian Steudtner - 'The Big Wave Surfer' portrayed by ANKE LUCKMANN
ANKE LUCKMANN photographed German big wave surfer Sebastian Steudtner. “I was lucky enough to get to photograph him in Nazaré, Portugal. Many thanks Sebastian for your time and all the stuff you taught me about surfing in just two days," says the photographer. Support in collecting the photos came from Art Director Lily Sohm, with post production by Jenny Cremer.
Steudtner is also a social good-doer when he is not busy being a sports achiever. He is Laueres Sport for Good ambassador and founded the charity association wirmachenwelle. e.V. in June 2017, which helps young people in difficult situations in Germany with surfing as a therapy.
