Still life specialist DIRK WEYER photographs and films for KÖNIG PILSENER, the premium beer of the Bitburger Brewery Group

‘A King Today.’ For the premium pilsner brand founded in 1858 which has belonged to the BITBURGER Brewery Group since 2004, DIRK WEYER photographed and filmed the artwork presented here. The beer has been brewed at the König Brewery in Duisburg-Beeck from the very beginning.
According to Bitburger, König Pilsener is meanwhile available in more than 40 countries : “At first exported mainly to traditional German tourist destinations such as Italy or Spain, the beer has also been experiencing steadily rising sales in China and North America in recent years.”
The Bitburger Brewery Group, based in the town of Bitburg in the Eifel region, is a family business from Germany. Now run by its seventh generation of owners, it employs roughly 1,600 staff. The Bitburger Brewery Group’s revenue totaling €696 million (2020) makes it one of Germany’s leading brewery groups. Its products are marketed in more than 80 countries around the world.
